A THANK YOU TO MUBENDE FOR A BURSARY GRANTED 1974 - 1977

From Childhood we were brought up in a Christian setting. I remember those days, each of us was required to produce a letter from a place of worship he attended on Sunday, and this has helped many of us morally, and something has to be done to boost the religious attachment children have as they grow up in this morally bad situation we find the country in.

The background I was given by my parents together with my teachers and people that impressed me made me work hard and I was fortunate to be one of the 10 best pupils from Mubende in 1973 PLE and I am so grateful to date for that support.

My simple experience with teaching is that children have it rough learning the clock and a face with both the 24 Hour and 12 Hour face can be helpful. At the same time, te way we tell time in our local languages contrasts with the European way where a new day starts after mid night. This is one big contradiction which makes it hard for our children to understand time.

The man in the photo mounted all the skeletons that were used to teach outstanding Doctors from St. Mary's College Kisubi and also scientists. Mounting skeletons and selling them to schools can be a source of income.

Many of our children have problems reading at night. The way forward is to get diode lighting and or simple solar lighting. The problem is that many households cannot even afford the paraffin to help children to read at night yet, it is true the fumes from the paraffin candles are not hygyienic.

We should think seriously about giving our children a diet with some Moringa Leaf powder. This has a lot of Vitamin A meaning among other things night blindness is out ofthe picture and a lot of other nitrients are gained when Moringa Powder is added to the diet. The powder can still be marketed for some financial returns.
